The clutch on my WR is not getting oil. The oil is fine in the top end but barely any is getting to the clutch.
Is anyone having this issue or heard of this problem? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Howdy.
What makes you say it's not getting oil, and what is the clutch doing wrong?

Not a peep. I talked to the service department where I bought the bike (4 hours from me). He is thinking that maybe when I fried my clutch last fall that particles plugged up the tube. The engine is being opened up today. My intuition is telling me there is a flaw in the bike. I rode my 2005 WR 250f for over a year and never had a clutch problem however I am riding harder stuff now. If you guys can please keep your ears open and let me know if you hear anything on this topic, I would appreciate it.

Its a peep....nice. My mechanic opened up the basket and the plates were practically dry.
It was ridig fine then on my second loop I felt like the bike had no power going up a hill, on a motosection of the track. I was in second coming into it and felt a loss so I downshifted to first and it still had barely anything. I stopped to check the freeplay and it was a lot so I adjusted the knob. Turns out I was suppose to be reveving the engine when I check that (rekluse). I tightened it up and bike wouldn't not go at all. When I brought it in they readjusted the freeplay (not easily) and got the bike to go but the clutch was slipping. So basically...no power.

OK.
Honestly, I don't think so much oil ever reaches the clutch plates that they're dripping with oil when you take it apart and hold the clutch plates in your hand.
It's more like an oily film on them.
I believe this is perfectly normal.
My guess (and I've never used an automatic clutch in any of my bikes) is that either it either isn't adjusted correctly, or you need a little more practice in using it.
Have you contacted Rekluse and asked for advice?

The assumuption has been Rider ISSUES. When I brought the bike to the shop early this week they readjusted the clutch and got it to go but the issue was the same....no power and slipping clutch. Both guys looked at each other perplexed when they were trying to fiqure it out. My mechanic is pretty well known to be the best of the best, so I will just sit tight and wait to see what he finds when he opens it all up.
Thanks a bunch for your time. I think contacting Rekluse might be a good idea though. I do need more help learning how to readjust the freeplay. I do know one guy who uses it who is a friend of a friend...maybe I will see if he can give me some time. IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO KEEP me DIRTBIKING. Thanks again.

Hopefully this will be the end of this thread and my clutch issues. The engine was opened up and taken apart and the screen was clogged with debris probably from the first clutch frying episode. All else looks good and parts are ordered. Hopefully I will have the bike back Saturday!
