No other actual "tracks" that I'm aware of.  Wildrat is next door, but you have to be a club member I think...

Have you been riding Aztec?

I've never seen people riding there, except for RMXA race weekends.  Aztec's not really bad on the weekends right now because it's racing season, and people are usually practicing on Saturday at the track they'll be racing on Sunday.

I might try a Saturday then. and I'm gonna try to get out there if they're open Thursday. Some one told me you had to buy a key to Wildrat if you wanted to go there and practice

That's what I heard as well.  Why waste your money though?  It's never prepped except right before a race.

If I'm going to make the hour and a half drive to the springs, I want to ride on a prepped track.

That's true. Did you race today? I was there watching, it was awesome. As soon as I get those jumps down, I'll be hauling ass in that beginner open.

Depending on how picky you are and what you are wanting to work on, there are 2 dry, unprepped tracks at Drangon Man's, which is about 5 minutes east of Aztec.  You can ride at RAM offroad park, which is directly east of Aztec Mon-Sat from 8-5.  They just put in a few more jumps and re-faced some of the old ones.  We were out there racing yesterday so and you can follow the bike tracks to get a general idea of a 10 minute GP style loop.  Then there is Fountain Creek MX down south of Fountain, but it's more of a training ground, and doesn't have any jumps.  That's all I can think of for public riding tracks in this area.

First time i rode at ram.. Its fun!  Not sure if i would ride there without racing though.  Aztec is pretty good for all skill levels.  Dragonmans i hear kinda sucks.??  Never rode it.  Olympic mx was out on hanover rd south of fountain. Not sure if its still open..last time i heard it was invite only due to people getting mad about him charging to public and not having the permits or something??

I met a guy yesterday at Aztec who mentioned ram and said he did some hare scrambles there I think.

www.corcs.net they run up there.  i just did it last week.. its fun but if you looking for a place to ride... not sure if i would have chosen that!  if your into it.. you should check out some of the remaining races with corcs.  they are a blast!  next one is at ppir... on the 24th i think?  one a month so its not too bad and its only $40 to race and $10 to get into the gate.  pretty cheap for the 1.7 or 2.3 hours of racing.

yeah those long races sound fun, but I would probably run out of gas. my bike is only 1.7 gallon and no one makes a bigger tank for it, since is FI
