The way I see it using Pro Honda HP and changing it more often is better than keeping a "fully synthetic 10w30 high quality oil" in there for a month. I would NEVER go a month of riding/racing without changing my oil on a 125/150sx, and I don't think you'll find many other people that will... The main problem for these bikes in the gearbox is clutch debris and metal wear bits, as well as water ingress and level going too low from leakage. Changing the oil frequently solves all of these. This is kind of like a which premix is better thread, everyone has their opinion.

Majority of the people who own motorcycles, haven't got a clue about oil, air filters or chain maintenance. They're damn lucky to mix the fuel and oil together and even then, you see a lot of people posting on here wondering why their 2 stroke blew up and never knew they had to use premix.
Yes, there is a very small population of people who actually do manufacturer specified maintenance. Having worked in and around the motorcycle service industry for 5 years now, I can attest to these things first hand. What I have seen would shock the "mechanical inclined" individual and would have been a great reality show. I got people interested in helping me fund a pilot for that show, but sadly the shop went out of business before I got a chance to get it shot. I've seen it all, 4 stroke owners never knowing the bike had oil (or an air filter) and running it 60+ hours before it finally kicked the bucket. I've seen 2 stroke's come in having never changed the oil for the bikes entire life, years and years on the same oil. It came out like molasses, but the bike still ran and had no damage in the gearbox or clutch.
So yea, once you see those things, you tend not to be so concerned about them.
