Im Probably faster than you will ever be ! So heres the pics after about 10 rides and 3 tracks heavy sand tracks and 1 red clay !

Front tire isn't of much concern as the rear, since the rear is the one under all the power....You said the rear chipped after the very first ride all along the bead...why are you reserving from posting any pics of it?

Don't worry, that's not what you said, it's just what he's been saying that you said.

I think any color other than natural is weird, but. If plasti-dip works, good for you!

still no problems really rode at mostly a 75% sand track and deep ruts and huge breaking bumps overall pretty rough ..... Had few spots on the bead mainly from improper tire pressure . but just wear it looked like when i landed it rubbed off but for 10 bucks its great lol ! YOU GUYS who are against  dont have to do it to your bike but i will keep doing it ..... it works for me and really thats all that matters right?? !  I was just giving off my Ideal lol

 lol I rest my case.

It's freaking plasti dip brahs

Can you read, or just underline?

Few spots does not equal all along the bead.

I always have a hard time believing that plasti-dip would hold up well AT ALL for tool handles?? Since there's often so much friction, twisting, hitting, pulling, everything.

For example, I did my truck's driver door handle (slightly chipping original paint) in plasti dip, just to see how it'd hold up. So of course I sprayed it and it looked great, but within a few days/weeks it slowly has rubbed off...If it's not durable enough for my hand to grab every day I just find it hard to believe it'd do any better with tools, and a dirt bike wheel...that's just a whole other story.

All it is, is just a tight plastic wrap, that is a flat black instead of clear or the usual...So pretty much everyone has ripped open some plastic wrap in their lifetime...Put 2 and 2 together.
its made to resist electrical current and give a little more grip. you dip handles in this stuff mutiple times and get a thick coat . not just one . you have to do it quite a bit to get a good layer.

Where does it say "rear tire" in the underlined part? I don't see rear tire in that quote at all....nor do I see "all along the bead"

This thread is hilarious. If you don't like the product then don't use it, by all means tell ppl of ur negative experience. But quit re posting the same stuff. Lmao

How do you know? He still hasn't posted a picture of the rear wheel  It's probably just the fact that you're not familiar with this stuff at all, but it peels off pretty real easily..So when there are a "few spots" on a wheel that has a lot of power to it, guess what happens the next ride day?

So....you gonna sit there and RE-spot-spray that bad boy every time you go riding? Tape off the spokes, index cards and all??

I'm not trying to give the OP grief at all. It's not about that. Several people are interested in doing this because it does look good after a bike wash without being ridden, but it's in no way DURABLE once that bike hits the track. Unless your idea of durable is spot spraying over the nicked bumps every time. It's not my bike, I don't care...I'm just telling you and all the others who need to know.

Wow, talk about an episode of "WHEN KEEPIN' IT REAL GOES WRONG"

Dude if anyone gets hated on for doing things that look good to a bike...it's me...I'm not hating on you, I just know this product and I know what you said. You all over analyze the sh!t out of everything and I'm just bringing up what YOU SAID...that it chipped...but you didn't specify which wheel...I figured you'd post up a picture of where it chipped but you haven't..You just pop up and act like both wheels are perfect after you already said there's a "few spots on the bead where it rubbed off" and don't post any pictures of it, and then try to act like I'm just making shit up.

Your wheels are covered in black plastic wrap. Cool. How is this even an argument? It's not. I'll leave it at that. Just trying to save some folks some trouble.

If any of you who liked this would want something more durable, look into the 22 mil thick 3D carbon fiber (or any color) wraps. Super thick and you can't just pull it off with 1 finger.

Will you please disappear from this thread like you did from GMFullsize. Thanks.

You are like a broken record. People are trying to give their honest opinions about a product and you keep reiterating the same thing, people know that it isn't going to last forever.

:ride:
Even though this forum has an equivalent number of a-holes, which makes sense that you're a member of both, no thanks. I'll continue helping folks and give my honest opinions, and you go continue worrying about trying to come off as a badass on an internet forum :p

Oh please argue that's my whole purpose! NOT. Just trying not ta step in the bullshit man and guide some others along the way. Anyone who regularly rides a dirt bike and extensively used plasti dip over a year or more, already knows and will agree. The only reason I'm still here is because you say one thing, and then contradict it. I'm done trying to explain myself and half ass argue it. Hell, I'm glad you like it and I hope it works for you forever and ever  I'll step off from my simple quest for the truth, trying to find out where that track ripped it off, and pretend like you didn't say it  Sheesh, I like and use the product, but in the long run you'll understand.

A little bit of truth and experienced honesty makes an a-hole out of someone around here

lol I don't even know if you were being serious about those parts but something like the number plate would do well. I did my old one when I had all black plastics, and the OEM white # plate, just to finish it off. It did okay, until you lay it over or just after time this stuff will get a little more brittle with time. I definitely would not do the radiator shroud or side panel plastics. It would rub off from the friction of your legs every ride out.

If you want to do any low friction plastic parts similar to the # plate or radiator plastic fins, that's what it's best used for. The more movement, friction, and parts that receive power are no good. I'd just recommend doing many coats. The more coats, the thicker, the more durable, and it probably will all come off as one much easier instead of fragmenting up as bad, which is a huge PITA
