Hey, upgrading my 250 exc for a sx due to riding more moto than trails. I want a bike that is more suited to task. How do I decide weather to go to a 250 or go to four stroke? Is a 450 a 'easier' Mxer ,  Compared to 250?
I know this 2 n 4 thing is old but, how should I decide without getting seat time in both bikes?

Put my bike down for a deposit on a 350sx today, will be going to pick it up in the next day or too.. I wasnt sure weather to go the 450 or not, it sounds like alot of bike on a mx track.. So i thought due to the overwhelming amount of responses to my original post i thought you guys might be able to shed some light on if its easier to baby a 450 around or ride a 350 harder, and much much more longevity would a 450's engine have over the 350?

should've held out for the '13s to be released. even if you don't get a '13 the bike you're getting would be greatly reduced in price.

It was a run out price, which was good price here in Australia. It didn't sound like 2013 had much difference in the 350. Im getting sick of buying bikes without riding them I'll tell u that much. I have heard the 350 explained one way, then read tt or bike reviews and it is totally contradictory. Fingers crossed I made the right decision !

You will absolutely love it.  Anyone that is on the fence like yourself about which one to buy loves the 350...why?  Because its the best of both worlds.  Its a 4 stoke that feels like a 2 stroke.  Make sure you post a review and if you need help fire away.  Lots of guys on here that are into it.  Good luck!

I think you made the right decision.  Especially if you're going to ride trails too.  I have the 250 2 stroke and the 450 4 stroke.  If I could only choose one bike to ride both I would pick the 250.  If I could go back and do it all over again I would've bought the 350 instead of the 450.  I believe the 350 will be my next bike.

In a perfect world i would have kept the 250, and got a mx'er.. That bike was great and i reckon ill miss it!

I would really like to hear your opinion on the 350 vs. 250 two stroke after you get some hours on the 350.  If you could give a comparison on mx and trail, I would appreciate it.  Especially in the woods.  I'm leaning towards selling the 450 and getting a 350.
