Is it possible to adjust the accelerator pump. For example when it kicks in and how much it delivers? I would'nt mind taming it down a little for woods riding. Any advice would be appreciated.

You could try the BK carb mod! Do a search on "BK" and you will find all the info that you need! The BK mod is an adjustable accelerator pump screw! I think you can find just a few satisfied people on this board! (right? LOL) Check it out.
