TT Volunteers needed to help with coverage
Some bikes and quads will have full trackers from IRC and there will be a public page to watch the bike and quad classes http://www.racetheworld.net/ircstore/
Moreover, RDC has been doing "time adjusted" tracking of trucks and buggies for a year and a half.
Now, RDC will do the same for bikes and quads. You should be able to see who is leading on a time adjusted basis.
Because there have been some snags and glitches in the past (crafty disablement of devices) and they public tracking is not foolproof, ...My team and I will continue to do "sat-phone" updates throughout the top pro classes during the race. This is all provided free of charge by BAJA pits.
One of the biggest reasons to provide the sat phone updates, even though we have public tracking and RDC's time adjusted leaderboard- is that some of you will be out on the streets or beaches with only mobile devices. Our sat phone updates will cater to those away from a computer and also if there are any glitches on the public tracking side of things.
Lastly, If anyone wants to join the team, the pay sucks but we need a few people in ensenada to help with posting and making calls. We could also use a hand with people who can "text" some updates from OJOS, Borrego, Valley T, San Vicente, Erendira, Santo Tomas and/or Uruapan.
Photogs wanted too.

Scotty,
It was cool seeing you again out at McCain...
I'm down for sending/providing updates. We can exchange SAT # when we get closer to the race. We normally have good info since we write down all the bikes and times wherever we are at as they come through.

Forgot to say how cool having IRC tracking back on the bikes will be. Now friends and family (back in the states or in mex on a laptop or smartphone) can actually see whats going on. When the wife looks and see's 207x going 105 MPH.... I'll have some explaining to do but all in all this is great.

1x will be tracking. Lots of fans at home want to follow. My guess is that others will follow. Could be a mandated in by Nov for B1K
