Well after 4 years the 250 XCW needed a new battery, So the dealer was pushing this battery. It is haft the size and a third the weight!  starts great every time, and has a 3 year waranty. Anyone needing a new battery should check them out. Got mine for 100 bucks out the door.

I have the 4 cell in my '09 xc 250 and 80% of the time it has enough cranking amps to work.  when the motor is cold it does struggle.
For a dead engine start at a race, the 8 cell would be a better choice in my mind or using the kickstart.  For general riding the 4 cell does the job fine.

If I had to do it all over again, I'm still not sure what I would choose.  I would definitely be willing to buy one of these batteries though.  I haven't rebuilt the starter yet.  When that is done, the 4 cell could be plenty more of the time.
