Probably a wise decision even though it would have been fun to see them snag someone

I'm not sure I see that as a wise decision. I have to assume his sponsors would like to see their ads on a bike running out there whether CR was riding it or not.

True, but it could also run into a lot of spent money just for a few crappy finishes.  Plus, I have to believe we will still see lots of Reed/Bell-Ray etc. merchandise being sold at events

Sponsors don't pay unless they are at the races & a rider on the track so it is probably moot to the sponsor and frees up cash to spend elsewhere.  Most of Chad's sponsors seem to be on board cause they believe in him more than they care about exposure, but at the end of the day they are both businesses.

I'm sure Chad will be a lot of the races. He's not like Bubba

That sux, I have jumped back aboard the CR fan club.  I feel like he has matured a lot in the past few years.
Can't wait to see him in 2013!

Once again you amaze with your posts.  Even if you're just trying to be funny, it's not working.  To say he can't run with the fast guys when he was the points leader for a good chunk of the season last year is ridiculous.  And then to insinuate that his crash was nothing to impede him from keeping it up...really, try to show a little class.

side note i don't really believe that... i did it for shock value like others here do!

I see what you did there...except JS hasn't done what Reed has done to earn his fans back yet, so it's a lame comparison.  Now that JS is essentially racing for free - if he completes the whole season without getting hurt (meaning, his only legit reason for not completing the season can be an injury, which I hope never happens), win or lose the championship, then he will begin to move to where Reed is currently on the respect level from the majority of people.

JS made his castle that myself and many others criticize.  He gets to live in it until he comes out and shows us he's not who he has portrayed himself to be.  By starting the Outdoors free of a paycheck, he's beginning to do that.  Completing this season will go a long way.  If he quits for any reason outside of injury, then he'll have taken one step forward and then two steps back.

Sorry if that disappoints you.  He's the one that has put himself in this situation.

Reed was in one like this not too long ago.  It wasn't until he came out and raced on his own and showed passion for the sport again that he got rid of that stigma.  Let's hope JS can do the same, cause I want to like the guy.

he hasn't done what reed has done?  left a team making milions cause he wasn't unhappy?  crashed out of several championships?  ride on his own dime?  i don't get what he hasn't done that reed has other than start his own team.
