Dang.  I hope she was OK.  I don't like it when folks get busted up, especially girls.

I don't think it was that funny considering the aftermath. From the Youtube page...

My first Dirtbike Wreck. Walked away with a concussion, broken nose, shattered septum, numerous bruises. Thank you To my boys for getting me out of there and to Community Hospital ER staff for fixing me up!

The other person helping her up was too funny. I guess he was just realizing the bike didnt have a kickstand! :banghead:

My gf has the same xr100, so when I showed her she thought it was crazy, and so did I.  We can't believe she actually cleared the gap!!!  If she would've barley pulled up on the handlebars, she would've been good and probably just bounced off the bike and over the bars or something.!!  Shes lucky she wasn't going any slower because that shit was deep!!  My girl has done the same thing, she's grabbed a handful of throttle, instead of the breaks.  If you read the BROtocross caption, its pretty funny what the guy says..

I had the wife whiskey throttle up the other side of a hill, you went down hill for about 40ft, back up 15ft, back down 15ft and then back up the other side 40ft, kinda like a big W, she paniced and grabbed a handful of throttle and launched out of that hole. I never knew a YZ 125 could go that fast. She jumped into a small pine tree and crashed into a sage bush. It was one of the only crashes that I didn't have my GoPro with me.

No serious breaks but she did have a shoulder injury that put he outta commission for a few weeks.

Ya, it sucks that she crashed and hurt herself but thats part of riding. She will be alright on the long run but the true test is her getting back on the bike. If she does that then things will be all for the better.

Man I always miss my best crashes!! I'm never filming when it happens, sucks!! This is why I'm gonna just start filming all the time now!  I just wish I knew how to edit so I could put all the good stuff in a quick, action filled video!!

Did your girl every get back on the bike?  Mine has even though shes eaten it a few times..

Oh ya, she jumped right back on the bike and took off. The bruises don't show up till the next day. If you didn't know us you would think that I was beating her every night. She actually races now, this is her first year. She came to the races with me last year, got bored with watching me and decided that she would rather race then watch. 12th out of 24 her first race and 6th outta 12 on her second race. This is doing harescrambles also. I am super proud of her as she has finished both races.

poor thing sorry she got hurt. You need to learn how to stop the bike before riding it. Maybe a quad?

Good for her for getting back on the bike. :banghead: and be sure you dont take the fact that you have a girlfriend that will ride with you for granted. I would loooove for my girl to be into riding, no such luck though.  Hope that was her first crash. I would love to have my first crash on vid. Show it to my grandkids someday. Lol..

screw all of that women have a difficult time using the brakes, mine does the same shit, so until she learns to use the damn brakes she wont be back on it.  i watched her go 100 yards on a backroad, came to a fairly sharp turned. used no brakes, stayed into the throttle and when straigt off the road bc she couldnt make the turn. over the hill she went and did a scorpion faceplant and ruined my brand new helmet, snapped my visor clean off. last time she rides the little ttr125 til she understands that brakes are your friend

That's why you take them out to a big field with a couple cones. New riders can make big sweeping turns over and over again without having to worry about hitting things. After they get the just of how the bike feels, then you start practicing braking by having them come towards you, you drop your hand to signal them to brake. After awhile they can start bringing their corners sharper and sharper, hence why you have to cones to help. I have trained 2 girlfriends, my mom and little brother how to ride motorcycles this way, other then the family members(they both don't seem to care), both of the girls are excellent riders now. Mid pack to front C level riders. This is my fiancés first year of major riding.

Too many people let new riders ride in tight confines and any experienced rider knows, you go where you look. A new rider sees a tree, they hit it.

And quit bitching about a a stupid helmet, be more thankful she didn't break her neck!
