Me too kinda. Well, not really, but basically I have a friend that used to race super bikes and I reference him a lot on here when I talk about a tip I heard from him or am wondering or whatever, and basically what it boiled down to was he was gonna "call bullsh!t" unless I told him my friends name or something?

Ohh I believe you because making shit up like that is stupid.

Never the less, it would be nice to know who your friend is, only because I'm an ex-roadracer myself.

I'll tell ya who he is in a private message. I'll text him tomorrow and figure out who he was sponsored by and all that good stuff too. You can send him a friend request on facebook and look at all his pics of him racing...

Eh, I got bored. HERE HE IS mofo's. Im surprised I could save his picture off facebook. For a while they weren't allowing that.
Lemme know if you recognize anything in particular.

58 wasn't his official number, it's 371 and he uses it on his CRF250r as well. He's got another pic of him on a GSXR 771 Cosworth Suzuki scrapin' that knee

I had to do it. Anyone with a normal thought process wouldn't think I'm lying because putting yourself in the frame of mind to tell someone they're lying about something like this on an internet forum...over nothing...pretty out there. I know, yea it's a INTERNET forum, but still...It's not like I was claiming anything crazy, just some simple tips. I don't even remember what it was, but this guy has been racing and wrenchin' since before must of us were a gleam in our father's eye. When he tells me something, I fk'ing listen.

The picture above is Marco Simoncelli on the 250 2 stroke from probably 2008/2009 vintage. Sadly Marco passed away last year after getting run over by his friend Valentino Rossi during a crash. So many people put that pix on their facebook page in tribute...

So guess again! heh

People never cease to amaze me. You ain't putting a bad mood on nothing, this ain't my thread it's just highly off topic and we're all in here bullshitting. Honestly, I was hoping what he said was a joke or kidding. Pretttty weird...

Oh yeah, I remember you guys arguing about that. And he's not kidding, he's just a jerk.

......so your way of convincing us is by showing a picture of a rider who passed away last year and was 22 years old(I believe, not certain)?

No, you're right I'm not joking. Specially when you post up a picture of MARCO SIMONCELLI!!!

LOL jeeeesus I'm an idiot....I knew something was up because that's not his number but I haven't a clue about MotoGP or who anyone is, but what's ironic is when I first met my buddy ex-racer "BILL" is his first name, was right at the time that the dude I had pictured got ran into right at his spine or whatever...Pretty shocking to say the least. Bill was reallllyyy upset. He raced with him. There are a few other pictures that I KNOW are of Bill, so I'll upload them...

It figures that I would pull a fail move like that, but it was super late when I went and retrieved it plus I didn't know? It was on his facebook with all the others. I just picked it cuz it looked sooo super sick picture, but I'll post some of the ones I KNOW are him when I can and his custom painted helmet by troy lee himself (sooo sick)...

Tech420, my little mishap still isn't going to put anything in your favor or change the fact that you're kind of a jerk, even for an internet forum...for no particular reason. I'm sorry you're so un-happy but my mistake doesn't give you any leverage.

My brand new PWK came in @ 6pm but I went to see a friend of mine and took it with me, just to mess around with it, but just NOW got home and I'm pulling out my 00cr250r manual to read up and then go throw it on the bike and listen to my baby sing after 2 long weeks of "national backorder" waiting...Don't worry, I'll post the pics but only for a limited time, and then I'm taking them down. I don't want him to stumble upon them at all just to see I did it to shut up some guy on a internet forum. I'll leave them up for 12 hours or so. Anyway, I could care less about all that. Right now ALL I have on my mind is this:

Notice I got the ignition side crank seal too, so that "lean surging" is going down...Interested to see what was the cause, crank seal or old shitty leaky PJ carb.

Once again you couldn't be further from the truth. You said your "friend" is long retired, but raced with Simoncelli? Simoncelli raced MotoGP for only 2 years. Before that he raced in the 250 class full of kids. I'm not being a jerk, you're just pulling shit out of your ass. I used to road race and have a very strong passion for the sport. Simoncelli was my favorite rider to watch until his accident last year. At least make sure the next picture is of someone living.

Sorry I haven't been in here. Got the hydro clutch and new carb on today, and been making sure everything's golden for the track tomorrow.

Dude chill, I'm not lying. I have nothing to worry about. Sorry if I wasn't "politically correct" with some things I've said, but you're obviously just trying to prod here...I've only known this guy since the fall, but we've become great friends, and I don't know a lot about his career, but he did race "crotch rocket" type bikes, super bikes, motogp, what the Fuuuu ever, and was sponsored. He is retired, but not for that long. I believe he quit in 2008? Don't go "quoting me" there...not positive..but his career ended because he crashed in triple digi'z and ruined his leg. It was one of those breaks where his thigh and knee were straight but his shin and foot were at a 90 degree angle out from where it shoulda been. Nasty stuff, and his left shin to this day still looks like a set of SX whoops.. I know for a fact he rode with simoncelli and this one other guy from Kentucky that races with all the euro italian guys or whatever they are, but he's full on redneck. Kinda funny. I'm sure either you or tye know who I'm talking about...

I am going to post some more of his pics, just not this moment...Exhausted. Literally been working on the bike all day, just got done with gear oil change. I find that I don't quite give enough FK's to retrieve them at the moment.

On a more positive note, I have a brand new bike. It ran great before all this, but now...Now it's just insane what the PWK did for crispness, response, and no more spooge, and it's just got stock jets, not even dialed in yet. Only thing I had to do was raise the idle 1-1/4" turns. Didn't touch anything else, but that clutch!!

/ramble off

Our track is 95% hard packed turns.
My rider has a great technique for these. He will go into the turn slighlty wide, weight the outside peg, body as far as he can get on the tank pulling the front brake, with no rear brake at all. He applys the front progressivly and loads the front tire.
