so im boring out a 1976 honda xl 125 due to it being seized and pitting out the cylinder. while i wait for it to be bored out and a new piston, i was thinking of cleaning up the motor. all the other parts on the bike like rims, blinkers, and side covers are nice and clean a shinny.

any way if i put the head cover back on and points cover i should be good to go right??? im not gonna blast it really hard the sand blaster i can use is really small and is for small parts at a machine shop. i just wanna clean it up a bit.

both vales are closed and when the motor was intact i did a leak down test with no leeks. even if i did get sand in the head i plan on cleaning it out any way

do i have anything else to be worried about? or is this just a bad idea to start with ???
here is a pic of the head, i just wanna clean her up a bit.
