My daughter has a buddy that has a totally stock, hardly ridden 2004 KX250F for sale.  I have seen it and it looks like it pretty much sat for all it's life.  Stock everything.  2k.  I'm a Honda guy so I have no clue if that bike year or model had any issues or what.  So any help would be appreciated.

JMO ,1300 max.   Yes it had/has issues. If they have not been addessed yet, it will cost you a few hundred to correct( radiators/cdi/waterpump cover/etc).  Do a search for problems 04 kx250f/ 04 rmz250(same exact bike).

Totally agree with NetKarts I still have mine but the 04 was a 1st generation 250f bike for kawi so just be mindful and search the web for the issues of the bikes my bike the cases crack an the cdi has been replaced water pump cover..

quit frank you don't want it.. Unless you can get it for sub 1k it's a head ache waiting to happen

imho, i wouldnt buy it.  those bikes have more problems then you can think of

I have a 2004 KX250F and you have to be mindful of overheating (I suggest 1.6 radiator cap and anti coolant on tap) . Its not a bad ride once you correct what Netkarts stated ..bike is hard to start and if your on top of the heating ....its a good ride. I use mine strictly for track racing , but I have to admit Im OCD with my bike with oil changes and flushes...not bad especially for this bike. listen, every bike can have issues. Be proactive and know your ride. check forks,bearings and wheels before buying is my advice. Its not as bad bike ....best handling bike I think and Im 6 ft 215lbs.
