I recently left a gear bag with around $450 worth of boots, helmet, armor, gloves, goggles, etc. without realizing it was sitting on the ground when I pulled away. First thing I will always do from now on is to set things on the driver side so I can't help but see them when I get in to drive. Second thing is to put my name and phone number in/on the bag so if someone considerate finds it they can call me and return it. I was totally distracted by a few things that day, I normally am very diligent about that kind of thing, I never do that! But it only takes being an absolute idiot once to ruin your day/week/month!

Yeah, about as expensive as your clutch. Lucky us, huh?

Bummer!  I can't say that I've ever left a gear bag anywhere, but I once left my camera and favorite winter gloves on the seat of my trail bike after I had it loaded onto the carrier.  That night it rained.  I drove back in the morning and found the camera soaked in a cattle guard....and I never did find my gloves.  The camera dried out, but the shutter button had gotten broken, so I had to send that out for repair.  Then I had to order new gloves, but the kind I had weren't being made anymore.  I try to put everything on the hood of my car now, so I can see it if I forget to stow it inside.

For sure was a pricey weekend for us both...but clearly we are lucky girls...we both get to ride...I have a new clutch and you are about to get new gear. It all works out in the end...if it isn't working out yet it just means its not the end.  :banghead:

Yup picked up the bike and went up to try it out.  I rode on the dirtrock road for a bit then headed out on the trail.  The Rekluse EXP seemed great...I felt like I a ton of control but that could be my new AWESOME tires.  It was easy for me to forget about the clutch and all seemed good.  I was riding well and had plenty of energy then I stopped to move some loose boulders and restarting  up a small inclines seemed dificult...like being on the gas wasn't getting me anywhere.  It felt like the bike was holding back.  I am hoping my mechanic is riding the same place as me tomorrow...maybe just an easy adjustment.  For a MO MOMENT I was shaking my head that I fried another clutch but how could that be possible - right?

Anyhoo....It was wicked nice out on the trails today.  Thanks for asking Debi.
