CaveMike not particularly in favor anything, except maybe Dmac talking less. CaveMike have yz250, ktm300, kx250, him not really spend too much time worry about color of bike. Him not have agenda. Make life easier. Also, no need really stay glued to computer for yz250 info, sadly yz250 no longer getting updated. CaveMike like yz forum because for most part, people be better there than other forum.

Sure would like to learn more about setting up my 12 yz 250 than some guy ranting from downunder.  Btw, never boiled over a katoom.  Is it the suzuki's that make DMAC feel inadequate?
DMac probably only fascist involved in conversation. Funny him call other people nazi. How much longer before new dmac identity be banned too? CaveMike think not very long. New name, same not play well with others. Maybe time for timeout, sit in corner, face wall, wear pointy hat. +1

It's you KTM huggers who love the Austrian birthplace of Adolf Hitler the ones that are racist punks.... Not I mate....

The reason why you love the KTM is because of the Aryan race emblem that goes with it punks ---- in case you don't know darn well pricks, "White-Power" :)

White Power? Not even. Could have been some dude with the last name of White vice some suspension company that decided to have racist tendencies.

People ride KTMs cuz they have two wheels and a motor and they like orange plastic and adjustable powervalves and adjustable ignition mapping and 50HP stock MX 250 smokers. Their off road smokers are simply dead quiet compared to the Japanese MX conversion bikes. What's not to like? They're nice bikes. I don't have one and won't buy one cuz my beater decade old Japanese smokers do everything very well for significantly less money.

If KTM were same cost I'd still own Japanese bikes but in no way would I associate a KTM rider with fascism. It's a rather silly association. :D

Why D-mac no longer in home country? Him get banned there too for be unpleasant? Be forced join circus? Travel aimlessly across other lands for little pay, live in tent, hang out with bearded lady and lobster man?
Maybe change names like 7 times, like did here, sneak back home.

I'm embarrassed that this guy calls himself an Australian.

Of all the forums I visit I have NEVER seen such shite dribbled. Well done to you guys stateside for tolerating it all.
But, I have seen lots of KTMs boil & that's down here in the cooler south of the country, still, it doesn't give D_mac the right to dribble on and on and on with his white power crap, Aryan references etc.
Give up already, D_mac, you are looking like a fool and even worse, making us Aussies look stupid.

Kudos to the seppos (Aussie slang for Americans) for not generalising us into a pit of stupid, racist, dribblers.

Not much difference between Australian circus clown and American circus clown. Circus clown be circus clown.

Every country has its D_macs, or people that have been thrown out of the insane asylum/wacky farm/crazy people place... due to financial cutbacks, etc. We have people that talk to themselves, harass people and scare children/women/ and the elderly like D_mac here in the USA. People like D_mac are living under bridges and sleeping in the streets just like every where in the world. Some of them are politicians, lawyers, actors/actresses, etc. that stopped taking there medication or are self medicating. Look at Charlie Sheen, although you may not know who he is in Australia. He used to have a popular show here called Two and a Half Men until he self medicated himself out of a job with his crazy D_mac type rants. What is kind of funny is that Charlie Sheen played a worthless, substance abuser on TV and in real life that is what he is.
I am sure if I visited Australia I would really enjoy parts of it.
I think I may enjoy a lot of the people as well.
All motorcycles that are not maintained, jetted properly, etc are going to boil over and have problems no matter what the color.
I have never had overheating problems on my KTM.
I would buy it again and I am seriously thinking of selling or trading my BMW f800GS for another KTM.

Also what relation does the term "seppos" have to us here in the USA?
What does seppos mean other than American in Australia?

CaveMike like seppos word. Him only surprised that aussies no find way have even shorter nickname for seppos. 6 letters seem like lot. Maybe CaveMike expect too much from oceanos.

"Seppo/s" has been around since WW1. Its double edged...firstly US soldiers were always on about how good they were etc (grandfather in PNG & dad in 'Nam, with lots of stories about interaction with US troops) so an Aussie would say "he /they are/is full of sh.t" (just like a septic tank), because we say that about someone who talks himself up. Secondly it rhymes nicely with Yank....(we don't care/know about the north/south thing, so you all get called "yanks").

To finish, I like / admire & laugh at Americans so please don't think I'm being negative.

Its because of you guys in the US that I am the VERY pleased and proud owner of a woods weapon YZ (we say why zed, not why zee). One day I will post up pics etc with the story / build.

bunch of smart asses on here today :p

the yz250 makes a great woods bike. soften up or maybe re-valve the suspension for woods riding. i recommend a 9oz fly wheel weight. for pure woods riding you might want an 11oz or 13oz. some hand guards and you're all set. just as good as any ktm IMO. do a search on for "woods yz250" and you'll get more info than you could ever want.
I tried fly weights , no luck ... tried a motion pro throttle tube with the 400 cam (long throttle) and I instantly had more finesse in the first half of throttle . I took off the FWW and it runs and turns better ... 13oz spinnin at 2000-8000rpm makes alotta gyroscopic effects you dont think about until you remove the FWW , then it's like whoa this thing lays over better in turns now too .  Ty Davis makes a really good 3 gal tank for the YZ .  And yeah , a two stage softer re-valve for square edge compliance helps in the woods but you can still hit jumps

I've been riding a woods setup CRF450R for months (6+) and yesterday pulled my 05 YZ250 out of storage to see what I was missing.
When I put the YZ in storage the jetting was all jack'd up, so 1st move was to set everything back to stock. 1st ride in tight woods was scary, light switch powerband effect.
Went back to the truck a couple times and moved the needle around and finally replaced the needle with a Red JD needle. After that things simmered down and kind of got back some luggable power.
Next trip out I will drop my main jet one size (175 to 172) ride it and maybe bring the pilot up a size (42 to 45), but for now we are getting back to Woods Ready condition.
