Just replaces the whole clutch control system (lever, perch, cable). Before it was very heavy, I used 4 fingers to get it to shift. But now it's very, very, very light. I can easily pull it in with my pinky finger. It is operational, the little clutch arm next to the magneto goes from 0% to 100% when I pull the [light] clutch in.

Why is it SOOO light??? Did I do something wrong? This is on a 1986 CR250

New cable. That's your benefit, right there. As long as you put all the clutch springs in there, you're golden.

Yeah, you replace old worn out components and your pull gets easier. That's the way things go.

But it's like a 1/8 lb pull! Since 80% of the stuff on this bike was ori. I don't think they would have gotten a lighter spring? It's sooooooo light.  Be careful of what you wish for eh? lol

Normal when it works right. You should be able to operate it with a pinky.

I moved to where it belongs for you. Please start the threads in the future in the correct section of TT.

Apparently it wasn't tightened up enough, it's a lot heavier now, but still works smooth. And I was just thinking this was a pretty general question, since I was asking about clutches in general....
