So because one person told you they work it is the truth? THERE IS ZERO PROOF TO BACK UP ALL THE CLAIMS THAT THESE WORK.

You missed the point entirely.

Not sure how "new" these are but this is the Atlas that is due out in a few weeks. Our TR rep brought a unit by yesterday. $299.00 retail I understand.

remember this is Leatt's testing results......they are trying to sell a product. They are only going to give you the good stuff.
any company will only show you the good stuff.

I can see how the backs can break, but your collarbone? Doubt it, if you hit the ground hard enough that bone is going to break anyway

Whoever owned that leatt had it set up wrong. Mine doesnt even touch my collarbone, i probably i have one to two finger space before it touches. The problem people have is they are to dumb to read the little booklet that comes with the leatt, it tells you right there how it should fit and if set up right it wont even come close to your collarbone. Some people however just throw the thing together and once they "think" its good they go out and ride.

If the Leatt rests on your collarbones, then you have very odd anatomy. There is a huge air gap in the Leatt over the collarbone.

What independent labs test neck braces?

I bet there is a college out there willing to give it a try. Hell University of Nebraska invented safer barriers for NASCAR and tested them in a corn field. Till then nobody had ever tested those so they just put a stock car on remote on hurled it towards the guard rail at 200 mph.........viola it worked.

Nobody wants any testing done. If the results arent what is expected (and the testing group cannot be paid off) then these companies could lose millions.

To set up a proper lab to specifically test neck braces could cost millions. Who is willing to pay for it?

That's one side of the argument. The other is that they do test them and find out that they do help, neck brace companies could make millions. It's a coin toss.
