I hate that clicking sound some of them make, like scratching a chalkboard to me.

Drives me nuts too... its from the mount being loose.

Exactly!  I don't want to see 10 minutes of the same thing with no breaks; edit your vids.

Most of us dont care about editing... or making the video look pretty. Alot of the racers tape so they can watch line choice, passing spots, etc. for the next race. They just chose to share the footage.

I don't mean editing to where it looks like Racer X did it; I simply meant cutting and pasting together cool parts of a trail ride, instead of 10 minutes just cruising down a jeep trail.  You can just show a part where there are some cool corners, and then a rocky hill climb.  Nobody has to be an editing expert and add all kinds of crazy effects, just cut out all the boring repetitive sections.  Boring parts of subjective, but I'm sure a lot of people in here get what I'm saying.  As far as the track goes, anything more than a couple laps and it gets old, unless the rider is going REALLY REALLY fast.

I agree, but even edited helmet cam footage gets old quickly. I MUCH prefer standard footage with a camera guy off the bike filming someone on a bike. It's more work and less convenient for sure, but it's also more interesting to watch IMO.

I agree... sorry I misunderstood what you were trying to say.

I agree 100%.  I totally understand that POV video is easier to take, and there have definitey been some helmet cam or chest cam videos that I have really enjoyed, but most of the time I'd much prefer to watch regular 3rd person video.

It's not just you...but there is a reason. Something about watching recorded action through video on a TV screen or computer, it just simply does NOT do it justice. Everything looks wayy slower than it really is, jumps look smaller, etc. I finally had a friend follow me with his go pro to get some good footage and I was amazed when I got the video back. It literally looked like we were just sitting down riding the track like a slow trail on a 4 stroke enduro but yet at the time, first person, riding it..I felt like I was FLYINNNNG. When I stand I am hovering about an inch over the seat which makes it look like I am sitting...Don't get me wrong, I'm one slow ass noob but we definitely we're going MUCH faster than the go pro made it look like. Even footage of JS7 or RV just doesn't look that extreme, but it takes a rider to know and appreciate what they're really doing. Honestly, same goes for watching supercross on TV. I actually believe this is one of the main reasons there is a general disrespect for the sport on ESPN and just in general in my opinion. I don't think there's really a way around it, unless you hop on a bike and strap up a helmet.

However, sounds like you just need to have 10 go pro's surrounding your bike.

I saw this too. That was freaking hilarious, but hope he was okay...I found it odd/funny that you looked back several times in a race like that. Usually dudes are just like sperm racing to the egg. Explosions and sh!t could be going off and no one would notice lol but I meant to originally quote your video saying that was one of the coolest, and unique track layouts I've ever seen. I love the continuous up and down hill layout like that. That must of been amazing!!
