APE introduces the PRO version of our manual cam chain tensioner for the Honda CRF450R and X models.

This tensioner is designed for serious race engines that require more frequent service that the typical weekend warrior doesn't require.

The reason for this is that the original APE tensioner and all of the knockoffs have an o'ring behind the jam nut that prevents oil from leaking past the threads. After repeated loosing and tightening the jam nut over a period of time, this o'ringe may begin to leak. This can be aggravated in full built motors that make more crankcase pressure.

The new PRO series APE tensioners have no o'ring behind the jam nut.  This unique design has the o'ring on the tensioner shaft and will never leak no matter how many times that cam chain is adjusted.

This is a must for all serious performance engines.  It is available directly from the APE online store, or from all leading off road performance parts dealers.  http://www.bigboreth...tensioners.html

Nice looking part. The way Honda should have done it to start with.

It looks great. Like the Tokyo Mods mcct it is pricey but I am sure it is worth it. What exactly is the black body part it made of?

How about giving  an introductory TT special discount???
