yeah i dont like em either. I ordered some boots and never heard back for 3 weeks. Called them and found out they were on back order. Ordered a pair the salesman knocked the price off of for the mess up and again............3 weeks and no boots.......turns out those were on back order too. Great salesman.

It is very comfortable. Its kinda hard for me to un-biased though as I have never tried any of the other neck braces or used one before. As of now I really like it. I am using the elastic nylon bands that run under your arms and cross over and hook into the nubs of the brace. I never used it during my harescrable this weekend though as I dont have a lot of time testing with it. I see a potential of the bands rubbing your under arms raw. There is a chest strap system that comes with it but I havent used it yet. I also have some sweet custom decals coming with it. My version is a large also.

yea i like the wider design it has like i said. the straps, i run them over the jersey (same straps as a star brace) to prevent rubbing on your skin, works perfect. may not look as good or whatever but its better then chafing your under arms.

I wore mine for the first time for MX last night. This brace is awesome, incredible range of motion. I plan on using it for woods racing as well. With the deflector I used last night I don't need to use the harness or straps. The rear pieces fit behind the spine protection and stayed in place perfectly.
I couldn't even tell it was there on the track. I'll test some single track this weekend.

Let us know how you like it.
One of my upcoming races with a 5km loop and 13.50 pro pace laps will be the real test. If it makes it through that without interferring with my riding I'll be happy.

this is old post i know but iv been curious about this Atlas VS. the leatt that i have.
i love the design that the pads on teh back is not resting over the spine.what im sceptic about is that the unit sits too low. seems like rendering the purpose of teh protection theory of preventing extreme movment itself.
has anyone crashed with the atlas yet?
