I likely have thousands of hours on my 07 yz450f and it wont kick start anymore. Maybe it will start if I kick it for 30 mins plus. However, it runs once bump started, and will restart once warmed up. it does feel tired with low compression. Today, I measured the valves at top dead center as per manual, the exhuast valves are both at .20mm and I cant even get a feeler into any of the intakes. I have a new timing chain coming Monday, was thinking maybe it stretched a tad and for preventative.

If you really have "thousands" of hours on your bike and you're still on the factory top end I think it's time for new valves, piston, and probably a replated or new cylinder. While the top end is off check the rod bearing for play as well.

I have replace the piston, rings, wristpin, circlips, and timing chain once before.

I might sell it cheap as is, maybe 1500 or so. I do have tons of time on it so Im kinda attached to it. It may just be roached.

I bet your right and it probley need all those things. I was thinking it would be easier to sell if it started.

Barring other problems with the bike it will start much easier with the valves adjusted. If you're just going to turn around and sell it I wouldn't sink money into it.
