Hey
Last fall i couldn't start my bike at all, so i sent it to my neighborhood mechanic, it ended up being a cracked intake boot, so that got replaced and he did some other work. It came back running great. I started it up, let it idle for about 5 minutes, then gave it a rev, good, then gave it another rev, and after the rev the bike just shut off. That was two days ago and i haven't been able to start it since then.
I removed the spark plug, it kinda smelt like rubbing alcohol, but it's getting spark. Then i took the air filter off and it sorta tried to sputter to a start but didn't. tried putting a little gas in the cylender, Nothing!
I have the bike posted for sale and have people wanting to come see it but now all the sudden it won't start. If anybody has any advice it would be much appreciated.

What does the plug look like?  5 minutes is a long time to just sit and idle.

The spark plug was wet when i took it out, and it sorta smelt like rubbing alcohol.

That sounds like a fouled plug.  Put in a new plug, and maybe don't let the bike idle forever and see if that helps.

Why not ask the same mechanic that had it running before?
