i have done extensive search can't find any info.......my surgeon have confirmed according to his sectary the other day that my gracilis tendon is causing the snapping.........if so.......why would he be removing my patella tendon and why would be doing a procedure same as ACL? but not actually doing a acl .......this is my US report......am i getting into something unnecessary?.....it does snap and has gotten worse and very painful when it snaps.....i am worried he is doing something he shouldn't be......my surgery is may 31......and i am freaking out wondering if he even knows what he is doing........any ideas?
Scanning of the pes anserinus tendons were performed. Visibility of the tendons throughout the coarse was difficult particularly with dynamic imaging with flexion of the knee. Clinically there appeared to be a snap on the semitendinosis tendon, however this was not definitely documented with sonography. With movement of the knee from flexion to extension, there was abrupt movement of the gracious tendon, which is probably causing at least some of the snapping sensations. If there is consideration of surgery, assessment of the semitendinosis and gracilis tendonsat the same time of surgery would be recommended given the clinical findings involving the semitendinosis, the nondocumentation of a snapping type on sonography which was limited

If someone tendon are snapping, assuming they are not in terrible pain, I would tell them to wear earplugs.

oh trust me doc......this snapping hurts like a SOB and very very painful and loud so i guess earplugs are needed....i got a little further with surgs sect.....the report says he will be removing my gracilis tendon which is the one snapping....and doing a ligament reconstruction.....so i am assuming he is...using my patella tendon to add to gracilis? cause my acl pcl mcl are intact....and requested for a tendon stripper..whatever that means.....lol.......OP room booked for 30 minutes she said....so it can't be to difficult in whatever he is doing........
