There has been a bunch of discussion on this over on the ATK site: http://www.atkmotors...atkbb/index.php
Many different carbs have been tried, but most found that the carb the 605 came with (Dellorto PHM 40) ended up being the best overall.
What problems are you having?

Imo the Keihin FCR is the best carb out there. If I were to put anything on a 605 that would be it and its really the only one I'd consider to be an upgrade. That said I don't know if the later 605's have clearance for the push/pull throttle cables....
Dellorto's are weird and can be finicky (just like the bikes they came on) but everyone seems to like them once they are tuned in.

The Keihin FCR is a great carb, but it won't work on a 96-2003 ATK 605; the unique frame gets in the way of the side mounted linkage and the cable gets in a bind. There have been a few folks who have had good success with the Edelbrock QuikSilver carb on the 605's.

With a few parts you can switch it to a single float, you'd only need a different float bowl and float. Cheaper than another carb and a lot less hassle.
