Never heard of that one. I have this pipe and am very happy with it. Added bonus that it's the cheapest one out there.

It's a cool looking pipe. The price is definitely right, the only thing I want is that really tight low header pipe. I was thinking about having my own pipe bent for me, but by the time I get a good can on the end it'll cost as much if not more.

Would a simple slash cut shorty pipe be a good can? I figure, it flows more than a supertrapp would but it won't have the back pressure the supertrapp does.

I'm torn! like that dude that throws confetti!

If you have the cash that EO pipe looks like the right pipe for one of these bikes.  $.02

Twowheel Tom and Bruce:

What's the downside to putting a slash cut 1 3/4" tubing on the end of this stock exhaust?

I figure, free flowing at the end won't effect velocity since the exhaust header is stock.

But the pipe will give it a gutsy sound.

Noise that will scare away all the wild life and have the locals calling the police. That and it really won't make good power over a broad range.  That e-bay pipe would probably make better power than a straight pipe.

Ah, those are some very special bonuses though... Not.. I like when the police don't bother me.

More importantly power!

What I'll do then is this, stay focused, finish my rebuild and go to town on the frame and get the bike looking like a proper street tracker. Then if my budget allows the pipe will be purchased. I have a specific look I want and it has to be that outlaw pipe. Even if I had a welder and welded my own header pipe the supertrapp end alone costs 300.

What if I put a good carb, 11:1 wiseco and a stage 2 hotcams (DRZ125 stage 2) but I keep my stock exhaust? Will the bike be BARELY better or will it perform well but not as well as it possibly could with those internals. The more I talk about performance and imagining riding it the more I feel like ordering that pipe LOL!

The pipe I would really like to see on one of these bikes is a Jemco pipe . I called to see if they sold one and they said no ... but if I sent the bike to them they would be happy to make one for it .  They're in Texas I'm in Canada so that's not going to work .
For your situation with the stock pipe just remove the end cap on the pipe find some longer bolts for that and add some spacers under the end cap to make it leak around the cap . Different sized/number spacers (washers) will make it leak more or less .
(it's the poor mans supertrapp.) I rode mine for a while like that until I picked up a real pipe. Nice thing is you can make it quiet if you need /want to .

LOL! &%$#@!? So smart, didn't even think of that. How much did they say the cost for that Jemco pipe would be? I'm interested in all routes at this point. We'll see. I'll have the engine back together and hopefully running next week.

Bruce I have a very serious problem on my hands and I'm losing a little sleep over it.

1) I CAN NOT get this paper gasket off my cylinder - bottom end mating surface, or the cylinder base. I'm SO annoyed and frustrated. I soaked it in heavy duty engine degreaser for 1 day, softened the surface a little bit. Soaked in wd-40, nothing. Tried a razor blade - scares the piss out of me, a scratched mating surface on my newly honed ready to go cylinder would really piss me off. Tried a chisel and it scratched my mating surface so I stopped right there. Tried a plastic razor blade and gasket remover, ruined the plastic razor blade and the gasket remover was useless.

I look online and find nothing, apparently I'm the only guy who is so stupid a paper gasket is taking a week to remove ROFL. There has to be a better way..

2) I've been rubbing my cylinder head with scotchbrite until my arm is numb and my finger tips feel like they are triangles and I can't get some tough spots off and I can't get in the little corners. I tried engine degreaser, helps a little bit but can't get me past this point. Someone suggested jabbing it off with plumbers solder, but if I have to replace my cylinder head, lol there goes the exhaust pipe money.

I don't mind buying tools. So, if you want me to go buy or fab a tool you like to use just let me know. I figure, this gasket is honestly the biggest problem I've had and probably will have on this rebuild.

I use a razor blade and get off all I can without either cutting my self or damaging the surface . then I use an indian stone aka Knife sharpening stone . But a new one that is still flat and use some WD40 to wet it and then gently rub it on the gasket that is left on the surface. :banghead:  Works for me ..

Ah, so I am challenged. Well, I just ordered a dremel tool, a soft brush attachment will grind that thing off in a jiffy. Well, I'll need the dremel for other stuff too so I guess it is for the best.

Jemco looks pricey, but I bet it'll make your bike rip lol.

I bought valves from fleabay. The exhaust is  1.5mm oversized then intake is 1 mm oversized.

Do I need to have these seated? Or should I pay the 60 bucks and get new oem valves? Since I'm running a wiseco and hotcams stage 2, my gut says "don't risk it biscuit"

if you take it to a good machine shop they should be able to fit those valves .

It's $100 for OEM valves. I got these for $15. If a machine shop can put the total cost between $15 and $100, hm, you're right I'll cancel my oem valve order and call a shop Monday. These are the GS 125 valves which was the sport model of this bike, oversized valves couldn't hurt performance :banghead:
