I have a 1995 R/XC LC4 400 and i have found out that it is a pretty rare bike to have, i talked to the local KTM dealer and hes only seen two in his whole life, the only problem is when you need help with one there is nothing to be found... So i decided to try here My big problem now is that i have somehow lost spark entirely. the first thing i did is check the easy things like my kill switches and the spark plug of coarse but to no avail, it was thumpin' along real strong not even three weeks ago and would reliably start on the first or second kick, now obviously nothing!!! very frustrating situation im looking to get help from anyone who may own one of these and what i should check into next before i have to completely pull the engine and split the case and all the garbage, any help or suggestions are very appreciated thanks in advance!

Coil or stator usually, no need to split cases!
Do a search for LC4 400 no spark here and at ADV rider
I just ordered a stator for a 99 400sx same part.
Intermitant spark =internal short in stator.
Follow wires up from stator it should have red, green, black
2 yellows and I think a blue. red black green are for the coil/cdi
ck thoose for good connections. good luck

I would suspect the spark condenser. It's a small can (large capacitor) on the side of the engine.

I believe the" spark condenser" is to take up load to smothe out power to the lites, not the coil.
