I have been thinking of purchasing a new 2012 EXC 500 Dual Sport. Can anyone give me a real Out the Door Price on this bike that you paid?(No Dealers Please) I want California Quotes Only. Now that Dirt Rider made it the "Bike of the Year" I have heard anywhere from $10,500 to $12,300. I am willing to pay a market price, but this variation is crazy. If you don't want to make it public send me a message instead of a post. Thanks

In MD I paid 11,800.00. That covered the bike, skid plate, bark busters and the scotts stabilizer. The bike sticker said 9,400.00.
I had the same bike quoted to me from a dealer in PA and they wanted 10,500.00 for the bike. I was told that the dealers have them sold before they arrive at the store. I had to wait three weeks for mine to arrive. And yes it was worth it.

Holy crap. Dirt bikes are getting way too expensive

I paid MSRP for out the door ($9899) on a 2013 KTM 500EXC.
People always wonder why they are expensive, and now that I own one, I know. It is the most badazz, tricked out stock bike around. A stock Honda, Yamaha, Kawi, Suzi looks like a kids toy next to a KTM.

I'm glad I purchased one of the first ones before people knew about them. $8900.
