For all those people who would rather race than watch Villapoto win at Seattle, the Ridge should be primo this weekend. Conditions are looking good for the 12hr team race this Saturday the 21st.
We've had short soaking rains off and on, showers predicted for Friday, clear for Saturday and Sunday.

The dozer has been fixing the wet spots, putting in culvert pipes , cutting drains, and smoothing ruts before they harden.

We are bypassing ALL the rock chicanes in favor of an all grass section
.
Bypassing Allred Alley in favor of a rocky/grass section.

Should be a great race!

Scott

Scott thanks so much for all the effort you, Debbie and all the volunteers put into this race and all the others. I think these races are defining points for the year for a lot of people, at least for me. Gives me a lot to look forward to and really appreciate all the work.

Wahoo can't wait for saturday!!

Weather looks great today.  It is currently about 40 degrees at 6 am.  Overcast skies and a light breeze (although anyone familiar with this area knows winds can and do change throughout the day).  Should be an absolutely awesome day out at Starvation Ridge.

Good luck to all the racers.  I am still OOC with an elbow injury, although I have been getting some time in the seat commuting to work this last week.  Maybe next week I'll feel well enough to pull the YZ out of the garage for some track time.

Perfect day at the Ridge! Mid 70's temp with no wind. The turn out suck'd but there are a lot of events going on right now. It was cool watching Trev along with all the other Ironman racers, bad ass! Austin ran ironman but pulled out after 3 hours. Bad blisters and the Virginia City Grand Prix next weekend contributed to the wise choice of backing off. Austin ended up running chase for some of the junior racers and the final sweep lap of the race. I put in four solid laps but on my fifth lap I was sucked into a massive mud hole and had some up close time with the ground. That was a strange feeling not being able to see straight but that went away after a minute. My right let is very sore and I'm moving real slow today.

How many on your team? By the amount of time I saw you go by I would think two but there were times I thought you were running it alone. You were out there a lot!

Ewwww!  Either need some new gloves, or learn to relax on the grips a bit.  That will hurt for a couple of days for sure.
