i was wondering if low compression will make my top end blow up, or will the bike just eventually die out and not want to start? im talking about a 93 kdx 200, and im not sure what exactly the psi is, im just going by feel... when i ride, it seems like it has alot less power than it used to, it hits the powerband, but it doesnt buck like it used to/should... just kinda revs higher, but thats it. i cant even get the front end up on the thing anymore!! so what i wanted to know, is it safe/good for the bike to ride it like this, or should i just park the bike til i have the money for a new top end? i really love riding the thing, and the season has just begun, but if this is damaging my bike, im not willing to take the risk of my top end completely blowing and having to replate and all that jazz...
a quick answer is a good answer, all i want to do is ride!!

Fix it, then ride. If you are short on funds, you might find a deal on Ebay...if so, check the sellers feedback and get a very accurate description of the piston. You really dont know what you have until you get in the engine...its possible you could get by with rings for a short time.
