So, I put the oem on and it seems the clutch cable isn't long enough. I have the adjustor on the perch and on the cable turned in all the way to get as much slack as possible. I can only manage a little over 1/8" of free play at the clutch. This is giving an even smaller window of modulation than the asv because disengagement is right at the start of the lever pull allowing no modulation. This is a brand new oem clutch cable so it seems strage. I checked the old one I pulled out and it's the same length.

You should look into this first. Did you use the adjuster on the cable also? I use the stock perch from the newer YZ's because I think there just as good as any aftermarket perch at half the cost.
