Looking to buy my first new bike. Keeping the yz 125 for enduros, time for a motocrosser. Since I've never gone brand new before I'm looking to get an idea of OTD prices that some of you guys have paid or found. I'm currently in SC until the end of the month but will also be looking around Connecticut if I can't find one down here. Best price I got was 7000 so far.

Let me know!

I just bought a 2012 RMZ250 for $7200.00 OTD from a dealer I have bought 4 previous bikes from. I thought they could give me a better deal but it is what it is. Dealer is in Sacramento, CA. Hope this helps. Are you buying a Suzuki RMZ250?

Yes this helps for sure. I've been hearing between 7200-7500 so far. South Carolina has a max sales tax of 300$ so that is nice. Upon calling a few dealers in Mass, Conn, and NY they informed me because I'm an out of state resident I would not have to pay sales tax up there.

One dealer wanted 6500 OTD on a 2010 CRF 250r, which doesn't make much sense to me when there seems to be a bunch of leftover kx250f 2011 for 6500 OTD.

You really can't beat that 0 % for 5 years from suzuki right now though...

And yeah, I just didn't mention it because we're in the rmz 250 forum

I got my 2012 SUZUKI RM-Z250 for 5,999.99 OTD. Tax and everything included. I haven't heard of a deal any better yet than what I got it for.

I live in NY and i ended up going to Ronnie's in VT to avoid paying $500 in sales tax. I paid $6500 otd. My dealers in NY wanted $6500 plus tax, prep and dmv fees

6500 huh? Now that's what I'm talking about. Maybe I'll give them a call.

I live in Canada but I got mine in the states. It's way cheaper to buy it there and have it shipped. For 5999.99 OTD plus shipping of course I couldn't beat it.

I started the thread and AS64 looks like he's from brittish columbia ( going by what it says in his info) which is a good 4000 miles away from me haha. I've called most dealers within 1000 miles from me and the best OTD price I got on the phone has been 7k. Maybe it would be less if I actually went to the dealership. At this point I've just been making phone calls trying to get an idea. Not buying a bike until May 5th.

I don't think the price will change if you go to a dealer unless you have cash? There a very few rmz's in my area, so im guessing this is the reason dealers don't wiggle on them. I couldn't get any dealers to budge on the price or throw anything in. I have 3 dealers that sell zook... 2 sell only zooks and 1 sells every brand. The one solo zook dealer had no rmz's and would have to buy one from another dealer. He wanted $7200 plus tax= to $7700. The other solo zook dealer and the dealer that sells every brand, wanted $7000 otd. They both had one rmz 250 and 450.
Now the dealer that sells every brand has a ton of Yamaha's in stock, so guess what? He sells them for way lower. I went to that dealer last week and both rmz's were gone lol. Even when i called Ronnies, looking for a price, they only had a few rmz's in stock.

I paid 6595 otd at Powersports East in Delaware back in February when they were doing the 500 customer cash. Doug aka MX4life on here works in sales there and he was awesome to deal with. Second bet is Romney Cycles in West Virgina wanted 6300 otd.

I want to know how the heck some dealers can be in the mid 6k range while others cannot get below 7k

I got my brand new 2012 Suzuki RM-Z250 in Minnesota at a place called Heinens Motorsports for 5,999.99 OTD tax and everything included. Best deal I think anyone will get. Sorry for the wait on where I got it. Plus they assembled it before they shipped it out. It was shipped out in a quad crate so it would fit assembled. Got it all ready to go.
BY THE WAY IT WAS A WEEKEND SALE THEY WERE HAVING OR SOMETHING, SO THAT EXPLAINS THE ALMOST UNHEARD OF PRICE FOR A 2012!
