my yz250f will idle fine when i am warming it up in my yard and then i go out and do a couple laps of like high rpms and stuff and then when i pull off and let my bike coast it idles higher for some reason and gradually goes down USUALLY. i looked for cracks in the air boot or any anything like that around the carb area.

this is one of the hoses coming from the carb and the dirt is oily.. the rest of the bike is not like that only this section under the hose. could it just be the carb gummed  up? or what? a side from the fact of the bike idling high after riding it decently hard its running great.. what could be the cause of this? thanks jake

Adjust your fuel screw when the motor is hot.

Just a quick thought that might help: have you tried adjusting the throttle pin in the carb. based of the altitude? i live at a very high altitude and had to move the litle C-shaped washer on the pin so it could By-pass more fuel.

-i have more details if you have questions...
