I've got a Mikuni HSR 42mm pumper on my Honda XR650L.  When I'm steady (not under load or adjusting the throtle) at around 3800 rpms and half throttle, it starts sputtering and cutting out.  If I give it a little more throttle or change the rpms it goes away.  This RPM/throttle setting is the only time it seems to do this.  Any suggestions?  Thanks

My carb is set up as follows:
150 main, 22.5 pilot, 1.75 turns, 96 needle, centered clip

My engine is:
2.41mm over bore
10.5:1 comp
MegaCycles cam
ported head
FMF powerbomb headpipe
ProCircuit T4 muffler

Elevation:  1100 feet ASL

It doesn't seem to make a lot of difference, but maybe a little worse when it's warmed up...

Eddie,

I rode it to work this morning - 32 degrees outside air temp - and did not notice any problem...

that was a perfect observation, it likes more air, so when it gets warm you'll have less air - so you'll need less fuel. put the needle down one clip position and you should be good!

Awesome!  I'll try it this weekend.  Thanks!
