Hey guys was wondering what you guys are running on your bikes for mx? So far ive tested the mx51 combo, like the rear, i get good traction on it. The front however i hate! Could be that the tracks i ride on has different dirt in every spot, from soft to hard. Still though my bike always wants to knife on me! So what combo are you guys using

I love the Kenda Washougal Sticky's....I know alot of people bag on Kenda but they are wayyyyy better than a few years ago.  I like em better than the Mx51 or 71 and havent been a big fan of bridgestone.  I would get the Washougal sticky front and rear....and with a tire knife cut the inside of the knobs off the most outside knobbies on the front tire....it helps em stick better on hardpack....you just hollow out the knob alittle kinda like hard terrain tires.  They are on sale at chaparral racing for close to 100 for the set and I think free shipping over 100$.

I just put a Dunlop 756 rear and a Pirelli scorpion pro front on. Just waiting to ride it.

I had a kenda Millville sticky on the front and liked that one.

The scorpion front was alright....I have never really been satisfied with a set of tires until the Washougal sticky's....the front is way better than the Millville...I might give the new Triple a go after this next race.

Now I have to try the washougal. I don't like the Pirelli I'm just gonna order the other one.

I think I read that triple sticky got average reviews in mxa or something

Depending on track choose MX 71, MX 31 or Bridgestone 403.  We often start the day with the Bridgestone 403 or MX 31 and switch to the MX 71 as the tracks get harder and dryer.  My son will not run an MX 51 on the front anywhere, we remove them from new bikes before he rides.

The MX 71 works amazingly well in intermediate dirt.

I have been riding for 40 years. Have never, ever had a front tire wash as bad as the Millville sticky. Never. Ever. Gave it away after two short rides. I feel much better now.

I like the washougal stickys, I get them used and they are great even with 2 races already on them. I ride loose gravel/dirt

I usually replace mine every couple races and all my friends swoop them up and still like em....they last pretty long for a soft tire.

I've used the pirelli scorpion soft tires, but I found they chewed up way to quickly. I'm now using dunlop MX31s and these have chewed up as well great traction, lasted longer than the pirellis but still chewed up alot. I just ordered a new set of wheels and I'm gonna run a MX51 for the rear and either a 31 or a 51 front though I cant decide yet.
