Hey guys, I am teaching my wife how to ride on a 2007 crf125. After riding for a half hour with no issue she stalls the motor and tries to kick it over. After a few minutes of trying I gave it a shot. I am pretty sure it was flooded after kicking it so many times. Bike was running great before this, normally kicked over in 1 or 2 kicks. So we put it up for the day. When I tried to kick it over today it had very low compression on the kicks. So I checked the spark plug, cleaned it and tried again. Compression came back a little bit, but still no start. I even changed the spark plug to a new one just to see if that would help. Still no go.

So what else do I need to check? I am scratching my head of what I am missing. Thanks guys in advance for the help.

is she kicking it with a twist of the throttle? (2strokes like that)    if you know it's flooded from tipping over or something hold the throttle wide open while kicking it.

I have tried kicking it wide open with the fuel on and off still nothing. Is there a way to see if it is flooded? Also would using started fluid hurt anything?

To do that I hold the spark plug wire up to the block and kick the bike over?

Yeah but do not let the plug ground against you unless you need a jolt...The plug needs a good ground so use something like the bare frame or  stud nuts..aluminum is poor conductor.
You will probably find ablack sooted plug......you need to use a wire brush and clean it..or replace with new
FYI.......Mods will probably move this thread to the Honda two stroke forums.

I tried for several minutes, but could not get it to spark. I replaced the plug and still not the same results? What would cause it to not have spark?
