Bought a set of all black plastics from a seller "moto-recylers" on ebay, he described them as "super nice set of plastics, barely a scratch on them"...  had pictures of them on the listing, they looked immaculate!.... i get the plastics and they are trashed, scratched, scuffed, and just looked terrible. as i was looking over the listing again, i saw a picture of one of the sidepanels. on his picture there is no "DRZ400sm" sticker, on the ones he sent me, the sticker is on there.. ive been trying to contact him for 3 days, with no response. i filed a complaint through ebay.. Just thought i would let you fellow ebayers know not to order anything from him.

I'm not doubting what your saying, but I just wonder on he has a 99.6 approval rating?  One of the things I always worry about on ebay is if I give someone a bad rating, because the suck, are they going to seek revenge by giving me a bad rating.  In fact, I'm always a little parenoid when selling things that someone will be unsatisfied.

eBay hides behind the words "not significantly as described" and will not refund your money for this issue. They will reverse a transaction when a seller ships the wrong item, which is what happened in your case. Play that angle, rather than the condition was worse than expected.

Make sure you save copies of the photos from the original Ebay listing before it disappears.  If necessary you can use those as a comparison with what you received, as proof it was not the items advertised.

I have had similar problems with a few Ebay sellers over the years, no response to emails etc, but on most occasions Paypal/Ebay did the right thing.  For the sellers that were real a-holes, I took it as a challenge to see how bad I could word the negative feedback, given the limited characters available .  A couple of them haven't sold anything since.

Yeah I bought a set of forks from him a couple of months ago that were described as perfect condition.  I recieved them and the seals were leaking and one had a small ding.  Wasn't happy but I still saved a ton of money.

That's why I fund my paypal with a credit card. If ebay/paypal doesn't want to refund your money you dispute it through your credit card company.

I purchased a set of sm wheels from them. They definitely had more than "A couple of light scratches".

ive had awesome luck with ebay over these past few months, i knew it was a matter of time until my luck ended! lol... Bobbed06, "moto recyclers" seems to be very misleading with there descriptions.. I got an email back from them saying " sorry, we were out of the shop since friday, someone must have uploaded the wrong picture file and item description" i call BS.. i sent the plastics back and paypal is refunding me my money once he recieves the package

Out of 670 odd Ebay transactions I have only had about 4 go badly, but when they do they can be a pain in the a$$ to sort out.
