Difference Between 1975 and 1976 MX or YZ Forks?

I have a 1975 MX 125 that will most likely need fork springs that are much harder than stock. Some reviews from the actual time period says that even the lightest riders bottomed th front end on trails. I am going to be racing MX on this, so I am looking into stiff springs.

The question is, Race Tech, who I am sponsored by, only sells springs back to the 1976 model. I cannot buy any suspension parts from another source, so I must buy then from here. Will these springs fit the older forks? Or, must I race on a horribly soft front end?

That's a real small fork even comparred to my 75 250mx, Might try a 75 DT400 spring or even as a last effort cut about three inches off your springs and replace with 3 1\2" pvc pipe.

The biggest size they supply is very small? I am not understanding what you are trying to say.

Huh?? who? Oh i see, your talking "Race tech supplies"
I was trying to think of a spring out of another bike that would be the same diameter, yet heavier. My guess was a dt400 spring might work...
The 75mx had a very small (skinny) fork comparred to the 76 mx and yz 125s'.
I run RaceTech emulators in my 75 250 mx, They didn't list them but i called them and gave my piston size that i needed and they sent some. But again...my forks are larger than yours. Unless you can give the dia. of the springs they might not be able to help.
