Ok so I was just crusing down a trail in 2 gear and my bike made a loud cracking sound and just shut off and now it wont start. I was thinking that it was the valves because it had barely any compression when i started it and it back fired alot..whats the most likely problem?

^Timing would be my guess also.  Do a search in this forum and you will find some details on how to check the timing.

ya i would say piston problems..  at very least you need to take the top end apart and check everything.

let us know what was wrong so we get better at diagnosing issues from extremely vague problem descriptions...
