So we went for a little three day ride with friends this past weekend. Three of us started in Tecate USA and unloaded our bikes and rode to Ensenada this past Friday. We rode the free road to the El Compadre Trail to Ojos Negros and then to Ensenada. The other three had to work Friday so they met up with us Friday night at Estero Beach Hotel.

Day Two, we all met up at Santo Tomas. One of use doesn't believe in prepping your bike so we had a little down time.

First stop of Day Two was Rick's place "Coyote Cals" for a tall frosty cold mug of Beer.

It was a little cloudy along the coast on Saturday but not too cold. Then a stop at the Pirate's Bar for some fish tacos and more beer.

So I'm maxed out on the number of pictures for this thread, I'll start another one.

One more stop or two for gas and we were in San Quintin before dark. We stayed at the Mission Santa Maria Hotel the old El Presidente. The people there are so nice and accommodating, great food, bar and sleeping rooms and did I say, GREAT SHOWERS!

Day Three, Sunday started out with a great breakfast at the hotel and then on to Camalu for our first gas stop.....or so we thought. About 15 miles into the ride one of us went down in the "Black Ice" by the salt farms. If you've been there you know what I'm talking about. Most of us had race radios so we were able to bring everyone back to assist with the injuries. Rich didn't believe he had broken anything but he only made it about 10 more miles down the beach before he was in some serious pain so from there we rode to the highway and onto Camalu to met up with the chase truck where Rich would spend the rest of the day.

Next we regrouped near "Shipwrecks"

It was another beautiful day in Baja.

We returned to Santo Tomas and met up with our chase truck and loaded the two quads. From there the remaining three bikes road to Uruapan and took the old Baja 500 course to Ojos Negros to the Pemix station for more fuel and then the El Compadre trail the same way back to the border.

We met up with our other riders and the chase truck about seven cars from the back of the line at the border. We stopped by to say hi and call them Suckers and then off we went to the front of the border line. We crossed in about 30 seconds and I was home in 30 minutes from  there.

What a great weekend riding with good friends.

Viva Baja.....Scotty, It's still very unsafe in Baja.....so much beer and so little time.

NICE RR RAK!

We heard you guys and Sunday and saw the red rig at ST in the afternoon. Glad to have some company on the trails and routes.

In our opinion the most dangerous thing about BAJA is the false sense of terror being perpetuated by naysayers who are perhaps mislead by an over-sensational lame-stream media. There is still a total lack of statistical data to support any notion that US adventure travelers are at ANY heightened risk of traveling outside the cities of BAJA. I don't want to jack a thread and start a debate so I'll try to bite my lip.

If we are putting ourselves at risk of being killed in Baja, it is only by being killed with kindness. There are plenty of trails that need riding.

OMG Scotty I was just kidding! I just don't want another eruption of riders like way back when "Dust to Glory" first came out. The biggest threat to our lives in Baja are the cooks that drive the Wide Open cars and think they are racing in the Baja 1000.

Welcome! - A suggestion, you might increase your odds if you tell more about what, how, why you ride.  Skill level, party level, noise level, mechanical ability, age, prior experience, etc...
