You might list it in some California areas. Since it's factory street legal and the RFS engine is pretty popular the value in Cali would be pretty good I think. If hadn't just picked up a 500exc I'd have been all over this bike. You've done a beautiful job.
If you don't mind me asking, why are you selling it? That's an excellent platform.
EDIT: My 500 already looks like it's been dragged behind a tractor through a boulder strewn field.

I always heard it was around 300 or so bikes brought into the country but forgot which source this came from already.. I forgot if it was from my dealer or Betatalk. . Good point though. ..I didn't think about the possible good value from having a ktm motored street legal dirt bike... It is easy to get parts and I like paying $65 for a complete clutch from tusk/rockymountain for ex. It would be interesting to know how many Beta's are coming into the country in the recent years. To me that bike is just nice. I know it's being sold for a worthy cause. It just looks like new is all.

That's great news. Funny..., I've had several conversations with American Beta and the staff there about how "many ex DRZ owners are easy targets for the Beta" and they kept trying to say this was not their target market, and more so dirt riders looking for a quality exotic. Last time I was there I told them again to wait and see once the DRZ owners started to discover what it takes to upgrade a DRZ and comparing costs, just selling the DRZ and moving to a Beta instead is cheaper cost and a better overall value right out of the gate day-1 - i.e 6 speed vs. 5speed on DRZ, better offroad suspension, 45lbs less weight, low center of gravity, much better handling, more torque in a stock motor without having to mod the motor and for dirt guys its a real dirt bike... sure enough, another DRZ owner converted to Beta. Seems like there are at least 10+ more on this site alone who were former DRZ owners or at one point. Good to know. Congrats on the sale.

Awesome! I'm glad you got a good price. Around here the market is bad and it's more of a buyers market. Your bike sure was worth it in my opinion. Hope your daughters wedding comes out good.

Ex DRZ400S owner here! Your right about the crossover. I know three guys that crossed over in the last three years!
Then me to Beta!
DRZ's are antiquated!
