I need help, I jetted my warrior with a JD jet kit. I also had to put a new float vavle on it. I also upgraded the air intake with a bracket and uni filter. I also have a procircit t-4 pipe.

It starts fine with full choke and idles ok with half choke but won't run at all with the choke off. I have tried every notch on the needle. The lower I go the more it back-fires, the higher I go the less it idles. I have adjusted the air/fuel mixture screw with each different setting on the needle but nothing seems to work!

Any ideas at all, I'm open to seggestions.

Thanks in advance!

have you re jetted the main and pilot jets since you put in the jd needle and performed the air intake and exhaust modifications if not the reason it runs with the choke on is because the main and pilot jets are now to small by increasing air intake and having a less restrictive exhaust your machine is taking in more air with the same amount of fuel causing a lean affect. This is why it runs with the choke on it lets less air and the same fuel. By droping the needle down you lean the mixture out. it sounds like you need to bump up the main and the pilot and set the fuel screw to 2-2.5 turns out.

either clean your pilot/slow jet or maybe go one size bigger , also compare old and new needles ,likly new needle is fatter through mid section creating a lean condition ,hence the need for the choke , go with pilot first though
