This topic slipped down the pile a bit, so here is another one of my IT's.

This time it's an IT490L :

Nearly finished restoring this one to a good useable condition. Not a pool room special, but something that can be ridden and enjoyed.

Well, there is my IT. Its a cool bike, light and not over powering. I wish I had  some land to ride it on. I'm trying to sell it, but not trying real hard because I like the bike so much. You other guys have some awesome ITs, I wish I had a title for my bike, I always wanted to street legalize an IT especially a big bore.

Nice bike jonboat.

Not ridden an IT200 for many Years, although I fondly remember the smooth power and light weight when compared to my Honda XR200RC that I owned back then.

Thanks for the kind words. Its the lightest bike I own at the moment and is just a pleasure to ride whenever the rare chance happens. I bought it in hopes of plating it but in PA if you have no title you have no chance to get a plate

Ok, this time it's a bit of an ' old dog ' of a 1983 IT490K !

This was my first IT490 and because prices in the UK were so high at the time, I bought what I could afford. I had to repair the frame and do a lot of work on the engine. I have a new tank and plastics for the old IT, but because I bought the better condition IT490L, this project has been put to one side for a while.

Note the disk brake front end and non standard rear shock.

Ironically, this will probably be the IT490 I will keep out of the two, mainly because of the man hours of labour put into the beast !

I'm not quite sure it's a nice collection yet, more of an ' accumulation ' !

I have plans to finish at least one IT this Year, maybe two.

Here is my unfinished IT175J :

I have the plastics and engine for this bike, just need an exhaust and seat.
However, it is a low priority project at the moment.

That 250 looks a very usable bike.

How do you get on with the power ? The IT250G was given a bad press at the time for having a very motocross orientated engine, not really suitable for enduro.

Here is another IT175E, this one is going to have an IT175F engine fitted :

I've straightened the frame and have most of the parts in storage to get this one going. As you can see, I'm going to be busy for a while !

it is a little more like a motocross powerband than the other trail bikes ive ridden at first its wheelies everywhere because of the way the power comes on but its not too bad once you get used to it, i actually like it i ride it in tight twisty and open straight trails, and i have it geared up for top speed on big straights and it still has enough low end to tug around in 3rd in the trails at about 10 mph, the hit in the mid range is strong but not as strong as i think its portrayed and it carrys the power well through the top end.
mine also came with a 1.50 overbore wiseco piston, and since then i put a 1982 yz250 silencer, and boyeson power reeds so i cant speak for the 100% stock characteristics of the bike.

Here is an IT175E Hybrid I am working on when I get time.
The frame and swinging arm were saved frome someone's unwanted project, I just needed everything else !

Posted Image

The forks and yolks are CR85 items left over from another project, with a 21" rim laced to the CR hub. Swinging arm was lengthened by 3/4" and rear shock modded to give about 11" wheel travel.
Rear wheel was a Honda CR250 item that was left over from some project.

The engine in the photo is from a DT175E ( DT175MX in UK and Europe ), but I have a longer stroke RT180 engine fitted with a bored IT175D cylinder to fit when I get time.
I need to do some work on the frame to get the headstock angle correct, as the front end looks and steers like a raked out Harley !
