im thinking about doing the 3x3 and gettting a mrd/ssw pipe and was wondering if it will pass PA inspection or do i have to put the stock pipe back on for inspection.

Mine always have passed but I don't get my bike inspected at the dealership either. The led flashers are not exactly dot approved and most stealerships have issue with that.

ok thanks i guess if they have a problem with it i can take it to a shop and get it inspected.

mine passes with led blinkers, exhaust all that.  Its fine.  Go to any shop and stick with them and they wont give you any trouble.

I'm in PA and have a bunch of mods.  My suggestion is to find a small-town mechanic and inspect there.  I've had good luck here in SW PA.

My 01 has not has an inspection sticker since it rolled off the showroom floor :thumbsup:
I've seen lots of bikes (mostly choppers) without stickers here in SWPA.

If your around south central PA I can take care of your inspections. $28 for a bike. A mrd exhaust isn't an issue. Or if you want to ride the mountains of PA we ride a couples times a week.
