I am not sure exactly how to upload a picture of the piston but.......on the bottom of the piston it is stamped with 993M and on the oppisite Side JE....... Also there is laser engraving #623278.....I am guessing it is one for a stroker. But I am not sure what I have.  Why I think it is some sort of stroker is because it is crowned and the middle part of the piston raises up unlike the vertex piston that is flat across.   Plus when I installed it into my 94mm Cylinder works cylinder the piston was hitting the head and I could not get it to top dead center.  I know its a 94mm diameter thats why I thought it would work for my drz 94mm  CW big bore kit. Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

I did go to the JE website and saw where the part number is located and all that fun stuff......  it still didnt match any of the numbers on the website.  I will try to post pic again but I am having trouble posting it.  I checked over the whole piston and those where all of the numbers. I am hoping I can get a picture up because I didnt believe the guy I bought it from either.  It was a shot in the dark if it would fit or not.  Thanks and I will try and get that pic up.  Is it the image tab(with the little green circle guy pic.) left of the < > button when you go to reply...?

I do know it is the wrong piston ......Just wondering what I have got ....so I can resell it to help pay for the vertex piston  I bought. Like I said though it fits perfect in cylinder but as you can see from the pic it has a raised surface that hits the head when it reaches TDC.

Links worked for me.  Did the piston hit the head around the edges or on the raised crown?

We are talking about a "used" piston?  Do you think there is a market for a used piston even if you can correctly identify it?  Try sending a picture to J & E.

It could be a custom piston. You should call or email JE to find out. They keep a record of all "off the shelf" and custom job #'s. They have good customer service even to people who have bought used JE products. I'm sure they'd be happy to help.

YES, you are right,  the intake valves were bouncing off the piston.  It is an interesting piece but I think it is a door stop now.

I think you meant EX valves. Not sure about door stop but I've seen cool looking clock made out of piston
