Hey guys! Just wondering what perelli tires you guys are running. I'm looking to.try some different because I got bunch at my work so I wanted to.get one today and want to know your opinion.

Now I'm about at my best a b rider for the woods. I ride a 09 yz450f and we ride singletrack, harescrambles and all you can think of. Roots, rocks, mud, everything.

My front tire I got on it is the scorpion xc and my rear is a mxms scorpion. 120/90/19 I believe.
I was looking at the mt16 and other stuff perelli has.

What do you guys suggest? And I'm pretty good with what I got but I just want your opinion on what you got and think that's best.  I'm always looking for something new to try.

Thanks guys and god bless!

Alex

I like the Scorpion Pro for the front and my rears are the MT16 or the MX Extra.

The MXMS works well, but won't last very long in rocks.  The MT16 is really tough, but doesn't work as well as the MXMS, IMO.

i just got the mx extra for the rear and scorpion pro for the front and I'm really digging them for the muddy, rocky, wet staff. They seem to be holding up pretty well too on my ktm 250 xc. The last set i had were Dunlops new Geomax mx 51 tires... Garbage in my opinion... They were chunking off after 3 rides.

Now Dwight how does the MX extra comapre to the MXMS?  I ran that tire whenever i had my two stroke. Does the extra stand for "Extra Grip" hahaha. But Have you ever ran the MXMS?  The MXMS is pretty good but like i said i always want to try diffrent tires.

You know what guys I think I narrowed it down to the extra, the mxms, or the mt16. I pretty much guess ill have to try them all out haha. Now isn't the mt43 a trials tire?

Get the MT16 and run her around 10-12 psi for New England terrain.  Sometimes it hooks up too well. Stands up to the rocks, and does pretty good on the road as well for us plated guys!

THe MXMS used to be called the MT32.  It was OK but I thought it slid sideways too much for my tastes.  The MX Extra seems to hold up well and I honestly have no complaints.

I love my MT16 rears, just wish they held up better in the pure rocky stuff.  Dwight, do you feel like the MX Extra holds up better in the rocks?

Better than the MXMS / MT32 .   NOT better than a MT16.

In pure rocks nothing will last long.

Not bad.  I tried one set. Worked great in some places but was vague in others.  I went back to Pirelli.  What surprises me is how affordable Pirelli's are even compared to Maxxis and Kenda.  MT16 and MX Extra are a lot cheaper.

See i did have a Mx extra on my yz250 and man that thing really hooked up. It would stand straight up in the mud.

Man this is such a hard choice.  I guess im going to have to buy each of them at a time and see what they are like.

That's how we do it!   trials and error, and advise, and then trial, and error!
