2012 kx 65 jetting help

just bought a 12 kx 65. Need help with jetting bike for son. Running amsoil dominator at 44 to 1.live in va at 1250 above sea level. He rides around just below where pipe comes in to play. Bike runs ok on bottom until he gets on pipe and then it takes a while to clear out. After cleared out runs good.all stock except lowered the clip one to richen  up a little.

start with a factory base line, then work from there.

At your elevation, try going down one main jet size and see if it helps clear out the top end. if it is not making power from the roll on transition, i would look at a different shape needle.  this will help with coming on the main, and then WOT.

you can also pull your plug after a 3rd or 4th gear throttle chop to see what it looks like.

any time you are jetting, do only one thing at a time, so you know if something is or not. keep a log as well with notes.

That's in the range of the needle, put the clip up one closer to the top.
