Hey all, I read awhile back that adding a kickstart to my bike was a MASSIVE job and even required a new cylinder head. Soooo I just let it go and thought id live with bump starting should the battery die.

Until I noticed this today (I know it's pretty obvious and I shoulda seen it sooner ). On the right side toward the back of the engine like usual there is a place for a kick starter. There seems to be a black plug type thing and beside it is labled "KICK STARTER". If anyone can tell me if for some reason suzuki just puts this here like a simple thing but its a huge job still I'd appreciate it. Or just how to install it, and what parts I need would be even better. Thanks.

Here's two pictures.

The side cover is the same for the E-start bike and the kick start bike, the SE has a plug where the kick start shaft would be.  I have never done an add on kick starter, but you'd need at the very least the kick starter, the shaft, the shaft seal, etc

Everything on this page.
