With all the young talent moving up to the 450's over the next two years why would Roger even consider Bubba? It just doesn't make any sense

+1. James needs a guy like Roger a LOT more than Roger needs a guy like James. The Man is retiring soon... why would he want to spend those final years dealing with a head case like Stewart?

I don't think Roger would give up a chance to be on Bubbas World

Decoster likes to mentor riders and he would not like to become a team manager that get's the finger pointed at him for a rider's continuous F'ups therefore he would never give Stewart even a glance toward putting him on the team plus JS is on a very steep downslope in his career which would also not be very appealing to someone like Roger imo.

I was pretty much saying the same thing. I agree that Decoster prefers to work with younger riders and get them up to speed, look at what he did with Dungey, he would rather take a risk on a young eager rider than he would with a rider on the downlsope like James. I'd sure like to see RV on that orange bike too though, and I don't think Roger would have any problem working with a guy as focused as RV.

it would not surprise me if KTM gave JS bikes and $ for his own team at this point , all it would take is them thinking he could win on their bike, I ride a Honda and don't care who is racing on a honda or if a honda is on top of the box at the races , I like a couple "riders" and don't care what they ride

I really don't see why we cant all agree that James sucks, Yamaha Sucks, JRG sucks, life sucks and everything living must die.

You have to love the JS threads.  They have a life of thier own.  This place would be dull without JS racing.  What will the TT pro racing forum do when he retires.

Watching JS at the point is like watching Tiger Woods.  Both were pretty dominant at one time.  But, watching thier decline is like watching a train wreck.  No one wants to, but damn if anyone can take thier eyes off it.

Well Mr.Sipe, it looks like Barcia may fill in the gossip gap after Stewart is gone lol.

From what I heard Reed say on the pulpmx show, Stew cared more about money than winning.  He loved the Suzukis in the off season.  Why would you not sign with a team with bikes that you loved?  Even if Suzuki didn't offer a long term contract, I bet if he won them a championship they would keep him, unlike Kawis 24-0 you're fired mentallity haha.

Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with his love of a particular bike. He didn't sign with Suzuki because he wants the NASCAR carrot that JGR offers.
In my opinion, his underacheivement this year is because his head is on four wheels instead of two.

JS was a beast in 07 , he could have been on any bike and been a beast , put 07 JS on the bike he has now and he would be a beast ,the problem is 07 was a long time ago , yeah , that sudden spark in poto's riding really payed off for the promotion of the 2012 bike coming out , it could have all been mental for poto because it was only minor changes to the bike , it's not like the 2011 factory kawi had issues

Of course he was a different rider back then, that was 5 years ago. That's half a career ago. The guy has already been in the premiere class at the elite level for 8 years (since 2005). In this sport, at a championship contending level, a career is 8 years maybe 10. That is considered a long career in this sport. Johnson, McGrath, Carmichael- all 7 to 8 years at the height of their game in championship form.
Stewart is at 8 years already (people seem to forget that) and his headspace is not in it as much anymore, IMO.

Forget the carrot. The best James can hope for now is that one of the gibb's doesnt leave a steaming spiral on his pillow on his last day.

Unfortunately for JS Kawi had RVon the horizon and knew he would get them what they needed in the future, so even with the "perfect season" , and the fact that JS head had swollen from confidence, they cut him loose.

He's exciting to watch...

first of all, i would describe myself to be more js-hater than js-lover.

but we all have to admit, he has incredible skills, he is/was a shiny figure and has done well for our sport to distribute it to a very big and new range of people. he helped creating the "new" style of riding dirtbike as well and he got balls to try new/different things on a track. does not matter if its a jump, a rythem section or something else.
the only problem he has is his mind, his focus isnt there anymore.

but the most embarrassing thing about js is, that the "former fastest man on a planet" still claims, his goal is to beat jeremy´s supercross main-wins record. i only can laugh my ass off, by hearing that. rv will soon overtake js in this list.
