hello everyone, just received my 2012 rac permit and have a few questions. I only been there 1 time withsome one else who new there way around. Is there a better map out there besides the one they give you with the permit? next question is about parking, is there a safe area to park your vechicle? is there any clubs or groups that just trail ride ? I'm not real aggressive or super fast.
Thanks Frank

Are you riding in st. clair? I made an outline of the property they own. If you have google earth you can download the file to view it in great detail. Check out the everytrail website. There are lots of gpx files on there of people that record their trips. I would probably park at homedepot to be be safe. I heard burma rd gets filled with idiots pretty quickly. There's another recommended parking spot to access property west of st. clair. I forget what road it's on. If you do a google search it will probably come up.

If you ride at Trevorton I'd park at the coal hills. I haven't been to St. Clair yet. Check on some atv forums sometimes they have group rides scheduled. And generally atv riders are slow so you wouldn't be pushed.

Just check with the manager before you park but generally from what I've heard they don't. And make sure you have your permit if your parking off of burma rd. I heard they were already towing people this year. There is actually more land on the west side, which you can't access from there, than the east. Someone on here probably knows where to park west of st. clair.

Maybe if it is a busy weekend they might not want you parking there. But just ask, the worst they can say is no. You park in the back of homedepot and as long as you aren't blocking their delivery trucks no one else really uses the back parking spaces.

And hopefully they step up patrol this year so there are lest idiots parking along Burma rd.

We were up at Trevorton yesterday and linked up with a guy who was pretty hesitant to park up at the Flats. His friends told him they had wreckers and flatbed tow trucks up last weekend.

Aren't the flats county land or something? So even if you do have a permit they could still tow you since it's not RAC land? That was the impression I was under.

That's true from what I've been told, but without the parcel listing in front of me, I couldn't tell you for sure. Not that I could read the parcel list anyway, never could get it to work.

Do not park at home depot or walmart lots,we have been riding st clair for 2 yrs now ,best bet for parking is the area on burma rd,u do need to get there alittle early as that area fills up pretty quickly on the weekends. We ride out there every other weekend never had any problems, yes there are a few crazies riding up and down the road but doesnt bother us none since we're out on the trails most of the day. We're heading up there on the 6th of april if ur interested,we're coming out of nj and usually are up there by 730am

40 42 30.04N 76 15 00.20W Here's a location for parking I found on the interweb. Not the one that I was looking for but it's still something. As long as your parking on their land it doesn't matter where you park.

That's where most of the riding is. Well legal, they don't own too much on the other side of 61 compared to whats on the west side. Well at least that's what the parcel viewer says. Hopefully you have fun this weekend, I wish I could be going up, it looks like its gonna be a beautiful weekend.

We were at St Clair on Wednesday. Really dry. After four hours of riding the bikes were still rather clean. We were riding north of Burma, running along the watershed line.  We were just riding past the entrance of the northern access and the county workers gave us the hairy eye ball, then got their cell phones out. One was talking on their phone and pointing at us, the other taking video/pics with a smart phone.
