It is a 2004 and I have replaced the ignition coil with an aftermarket and a new. When I got it, it was missing the safety cap on the back that keeps the button presed in. I have tried pressing the button in and no luck. Could I just cut the wires and tape them together to bypass the switch? I was also told the magneto might be bad, where is that at?
I can not get fire on my Suzuki Quadsport 50

if you are referring to the kill switch......then yes you can cut it. but do not tape them together. when the two wires touch it kills the motor. what i have done in the past is just put a toggle switch on it. just remember to get it to run, the wires have to be apart and to kill it you just have to touch the wires together. ....... i hope this helps.
